What exactly is it?
The Wally Ice Fest Pond Hockey Tournament is an Adult ( 6 various Divisions) hockey tournament that will be held outdoors on natural ice in Lake Wallenpaupack area over the course of a winter weekend. Two days of tournament play will be scheduled. The tournament saw 39 teams register in 2022:
- 4 vs. 4 hockey, no goaltenders;
- All games are 30 minutes in length with two 15 minute halves and a 5 minute intermission.
- Games will take place simultaneously on six rinks measuring approximately 150′ X 75′ (about 75% of regulation size)
- Goals are 6 feet wide by 10 inches high. A 4′ board will be placed across the front leaving just the outer 12″ on each end of the goals open.
- 20-to 40 teams, Adult Open tournament..
- Single elimination playoff games on Sunday for all divisions
- The Championship Game on Sunday will conclude roughly around Noon to 2:00 PM
When will it take place?
The event will take place on the weekend of Feb 3rd & 4th, 2024. In concert with a Music Festival and Golf and Curling events.

In Wallenpaupack region of the Poconos(about 35 Mins east of Scranton). 2023 event was hosted at:

Registration Information:
- You DO NOT need your full roster to register today! Players may be added to your roster up to January 15, 2023.
- Registration Fee: Expected to be ~$390 + $10 Processing fee/team.
- Adult Teams must have a minimum of 4, and a maximum of 7, players per team.

A Central Area will be designated as the " Showcase Rink" and will host a number of activities for the families of the attendees of the hockey tournament, or the general Public. Plans may include such activities as:
